Kera & Travis - Colorful Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center Wedding

I photograph a lot of weddings, so I don't usually get super emotional during the ceremony. But I cried happy tears when Kera & Travis got married - and I'm just the photographer! Typically quiet Travis shouting "I LOVE YOU" at the top of his lungs just did me in - there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Kera & Travis had one of the most personal weddings I've had the pleasure of photographing. Every detail was infused with their personalities, from the custom cake topper that Kera made herself to the bluesy music they wove throughout the day. Click to enlarge.

Glitter & Water - Creative Conceptual Portraits in Austin, TX

Mariel was great to collaborate with for this shoot. A little sexy, a little 'out there' - it was perfect for her! Mariel did her own styling and (amazing) make-up. Click to enlarge.

TJ Wolfe - Headshot Portraits in Austin, TX

TJ Wolfe is an author, political activist, member of the Human Rights Campaign and Equality Texas. She recently published Unwanted Heart and wanted some new headshots. TJ will tell you she's not good at taking photos, but the images below lead me to disagree. She has the warmest smile and a personality that shows through the images. It was truly a pleasure working with TJ - and a special shout out to Red Horn for letting us shoot in their space. Tim & April - Doctor Who Inspired Wedding and Portraits

Every time I spend some time with Tim & April, I like them more - we share a love of vegan ice cream for starters - so I was super excited to capture their wedding. Tim & April got married in an intimate ceremony on January 1, 2016 at the Institution Theater.

Their ceremony was personal, sweet and incredibly unique. The opening was filled with references to Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, Doctor Who, Firefly, Star Trek and more. April is a musician and she performed a very sweet Snow Patrol cover. Afterwards, friends and family feasted on the most delicious of kolaches, punch (complete with Tardis ice cubes) and other goodies.

A few months later, we got together at the Blanton to capture portraits that weren't possible on their big day. Click to enlarge.
