Jaye & Art had never been to the 360 overlook above Pennybacker Bridge, but it had been on their list for quite a while - making it the perfect backdrop for their engagement photos. I captured them doing some of their favorite things - hiking, exploring, and being with each other. Click to enlarge.
Danny & Sophia's wedding was a very personal, very special celebration. From their ceremony location - their home, filled to the brim with bookshelves and sweet artwork - to their special family hug during the ceremony, everything was infused with their individual personalities. Danny's love of cameras was represented through the many Instax prints and Sophia's anthropology background showed in their choice of dessert - an anatomically correct chocolate skull - complete with flower crown. I photograph a lot of weddings, so I don't usually get super emotional during the ceremony. But I cried happy tears when Kera & Travis got married - and I'm just the photographer! Typically quiet Travis shouting "I LOVE YOU" at the top of his lungs just did me in - there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Kera & Travis had one of the most personal weddings I've had the pleasure of photographing. Every detail was infused with their personalities, from the custom cake topper that Kera made herself to the bluesy music they wove throughout the day. Click to enlarge.
I travelled to Chicago to follow Leah & Johnmark around with a camera as they showed me their home and shared their story with me. These are two of the most beautiful souls I've ever met. They relationship is filled with baking bread and making music, so of course their photos were too. Click to enlarge.
You may remember Matt & Chelsea from this engagement session. Their wedding day was a beautiful, albeit rainy, afternoon. Check out the photos below for badass cigar portraits and sweet kisses among the tree. Click to enlarge.
